We use impactful counselling modalities, therapeutic groups, social activities and practical supports that address multiple aspects of a youth’s life (e.g., health, education, employment).Our services and programs are informed by 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, grounded in evidence and research, and led and facilitated by 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. Our staff reflects the diversity of the youth we serve and are skilled in supporting youth towards independence and well-being. Ultimately, we want to help create a Canada where all 2SLGBTQIA+ youth are validated, included, and empowered to lead healthier lives.Position SummaryBased out of our offices at 489 Queen Street East, the IT Business Analyst will report to the Director of Finance and Business Operations. The analyst is required to perform in a fast-paced high energy environment, supporting staff and senior leadership with the execution of systems, tasks and projects. This role will provide day-to-day support to the staff and senior leadership and perform specialized duties as part of the Operations Team. This position regularly interacts with staff, management, and external consultants and vendors.We are specifically looking for candidates with previous experience in the Canadian IT environment. The candidate should be prepared to manage multiple tasks, tight deadlines and coordinate with multiple teams and our external vendors. This is a perfect position for a client centric professional with a true passion for technology, positive attitude, who likes to learn new things while tackling technical challenges.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyze the current IT practices in the Organization, the procedure in place, policies, security systems and make recommendations for both software and hardware to improve operational efficiencies
  • Support staff with hardware and software troubleshooting and assist staff with day-to-day IT tasks
  • Coordinate and plan IT/systems projects and activities as needed and requested
  • Support testing and deployment of new applications and systems
  • Interact with vendors to resolve technical issues with IT equipment, software and phone services
  • Setup and manage Office 365 accounts and create user friendly manuals for staff
  • Assist with the development of IT manuals, procedures and documentation
  • Support Management in assessing risks, researching and implementing IT security best practices
  • Go through existing IT equipment (monitors, laptops, desktops, keyboards, docks, chargers, etc.), create an inventory, assess what is working and fix what needs to be repaired
  • Update inventory.
  • Support with Database Administration
  • Other duties as assigned

  • You can prepare various reports and communication materials such as presentations, briefing notes, dashboards and info graphics
Technical Knowledge:
  • You have knowledge of quantitative, qualitative and statistical analysis to combine various sources of data to make projections, assess potential issues and develop options and recommendations to address organizational and business challenges
  • You have knowledge of non-profit organizations to understand complicated business and systems challenges and make strategic planning recommendations based on data
  • You have the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of non-profit programs and business activities, in order to analyze issues that impact on or support our organization
Information Systems and Computer Programs/Skills:
  • You are proficient with information systems, relational databases, spreadsheet and data visualization software applications (e.g., Excel, Access, Power BI) to design/develop data collection tools, ensure data integrity, and prepare various reports
  • You have demonstrated knowledge of non-profit related information systems and databases to design/utilize databases and a wide variety of analyses and reports
Additional Requirements
  • Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Police Check Program
  • Must be qualified to legally work in Canada
  • Willing to work at a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the organization, working evenings on occasions
  • Ability to travel to other community-based settings as needed
  • Experience with cyber security training, considered an asset
