Need we say more*About the IT Team: *As part of the People and Culture Team, IT seeks to apply technological solutions to make the lives of Wavers better, their work more impactful, and foster collaboration. We strive to build Zero Thought IT systems to enable Wavers to do their best work without having to think about their technology.IT is responsible for Employee identity lifecycle completing tasks like:

  • Waver on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Troubleshooting employee computers, services, and common office equipment
  • Contractor and outside vendor access management
As well as improving the security and efficacy of employee tools through:
  • Planning and completing tasks to maintain and improve IT systems
  • Coordinating improvements to IT Systems with non-IT stakeholders
  • Documenting processes and procedures.
As a leader you will:
  • Organize team tasks
  • Plan and prioritize projects based on impact and urgency
  • Work with suppliers and vendors
  • Mentor team members and support their development
  • Contribute to the development & execution of a strategic roadmap to increase our reliability, agility, and security while reducing complexity and maintenance burden
  • Set standards and lead by example in showing how to deliver both with quality and at pace
  • Live our team values of cooperation, continuous improvement, cross-functional thinking, and empathy

You’ll work alongside some top notch Wavers such as:
  • Senior IT Manager: Bob! Historian by education, IT professional by trade, leader by passion. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Bob! is a strong proponent of employee enablement through IT. Off the clock he can be found in the barn practicing woodworking. If you ever have a zoom meeting with Bob!, youll most likely get to see his barn.
  • IT Administrator: Raza. Designed in Karachi, made in Toronto, and solving technical problems since 2015. When Raza isnt troubleshooting, he is either reading or listening to podcasts. An avid pool player and a Liverpool FC fan, his other interests include - but are not limited to - stoic philosophy, existential literature, military history, political satire and romantic poetry. For the foodies out there: it is said that his mom cooks the best Indian and Pakistani food in town.
  • IT Administrator: Ali. Having grown up among the olive trees of Palestine, Ali is fueled by nature and olive oil, all the olive oil. With a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Ali moved to the field of IT when settling in Canada and “Work Smarter, Not Harder” is his mantra. Ali made his way to Wave because the company’s purpose as a financial solutions organization meshes with his educational background. Outside of work Ali can be found enjoying tennis, drawing, listening to music and dancing to fill his time. Ask Ali about his collection of owls - ‘who’ knew
