Redpath Sugar is part of ASR Group, the largest cane sugar refiner in the world.THIS IS A 1 YEAR CONTRACT POSITIONOVERVIEWReporting to the Regional Site Support lead-North America, the Jr IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing high quality, day-to-day on-site IT support as directed by the IT Support Specialist. Respond to break/fix calls, maintain inventory and assist with equipment refreshes.POSITION STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND KEY DELIVERABLESProvide a high level of local customer service.Close Help Desk tickets in a timely fashion.Assist in maintaining sites asset inventory in Asset Inventory System.Provide support for projects by completing designated tasks.Provide coverage when the IT Support Specialist is not onsite.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESCommunicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced.Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties.Support Windows laptops and desktops including End Of Life replacement, configuration and deployment.Troubleshoot all client issues, connectivity, package deployment and virus removal.Support Enterprise mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, cell, tablets and broadband devicesESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)Excellent customer service skills.Meticulous attention to detail.Ability to troubleshoot desktop and infrastructure issues and resolve complex problems.Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Must be authorized to work in Canada.ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES1-3 years’ experience supporting a diverse user base.In depth knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.Knowledge of anti-virus software.Knowledge of Wi-Fi security and access.ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBS in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.LOCATIONToronto, CanadaFor more than 100 years, our employees have taken pride in “Making Life a Little Sweeter” by providing our customers and consumers with quality service and sugar products.
