About the Position:As our business is increasingly reliant on technology, your role as IT Support Specialist is crucial to support businesscontinuity at KSS HoldCo. Inc. As the IT Support Specialist, you will be the primary support to our internal IT solutions tobest support our work teams, enabling them to grow and perform more efficiently. You’ll work with end-users to set upnew IT technologies, support the most effective resources and participate in IT-related projects from implementation tocompletion. Additionally, you will provide daily support to internal end-users both physically and remotely as required.Your Role & How You Will ContributeReporting to the Director, Information Technology you’ll be supporting various IT infrastructure projects as we expandour business operations from our HQ, ensuring projects are completed on time and according to budget. This positioncan be based out of our Toronto, Ontario. Occasional local business travel within Ontario will be a requirement of thisfull-time, permanent position. In this highly dynamic position, there are opportunities to support a wide range ofprojects and assignments across all KSSHOLCO entities.Responsibilities of the Analyst include: Technical support to end users. Running regular checks/back ups on the network to ensure data security and optimal performance as required Conducting software and systems updates as needed Monitoring the corporate IT Support email inbox to ensure IT related requests are actioned in a timely and effectivemanner Facilitating the smooth operation of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costsand timelines; facilitating the maintenance of our ongoing computing needs Supporting existing IT policy and following best practice guidelines for the organization Conducting regular system audits and making recommendations where necessary Running and sharing regular operation system reports for the IT Director as necessary Participating in major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and planned outages Administering IT equipment to new employees as required Identify problematic areas and suggest proactive solutions in a timely manner Participating in IT inventory exercises to promote cost effectiveness where applicable Asset management – assisting with tracking the IT fleet of technology across all divisions IT security policy implementation – serving as an internal support to educate our users to ensure IT security policiesand protocols are followed Facilitating innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs Facilitate the installation of IT equipment at all KSSHOLDCO office locations as required Work closely with IT Director to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network Monitoring changing network technology and recommending technology updates to the IT Manager as required Administering disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis Facilitating upgrades to company network software programs each time an update is released Supporting transition activities to new IT and telecom systems as neededQualifications & Attributes:A Bachelors degree in any Technology, Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics (STEM) Minimum of 3 years of related workexperience in a similar business environment 3 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) Good knowledge of IT operating systems (PC) with respect to establishing and installing security software, patches,and configuring computers for all users Strong IT support skills, proven professional experience working in client-focused environment and workingknowledge of industry best practices are essential to this role Knowledge of technical support and computer hardware/software systems within a dynamic and variable workenvironment is critical In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Python, Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure, Teams SharePoint, Planner, Outlook,Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, OpenText Content Server knowledge would be an asset Strong communication skills both verbal and written are essential to this position Expertise in data center management and data governance would be an asset Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation Exceptional time management skills are critical and the ability to work autonomously and within a teamenvironment as required is essentialEquity StatementKSS HoldCo.
