We have an exciting roadmap of projects for the future and can’t wait to share more details.Are you looking to work with enthusiastic experts who are tackling industry-changing challenges in entertainment and beyond At Ubisoft Toronto, we are always striving to get better, be better and do better – embracing innovative ideas, exploring new technologies, and working together courageously and collaboratively.Job DescriptionOn being an IT Technician at Ubisoft TorontoThe IT team provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources.The successful candidate will provide level 1 and level 2 support to users (software and hardware) for end users in the studio. The technical support technician will also provide team member input on the development of studio self-service portal, act as backup server support to Ubisoft’s Global Network and Infrastructure Support team located in Montreal;Type of Position: Permanent, full-time; Toronto, Ontario;The daily life of an IT Technician at Ubisoft Toronto

  • Administer, support and troubleshoot certain studio hardware (consoles, servers.), software and network operating systems.
  • Manage users, computer accounts and their access to network resources in Active Directory.
  • Install Windows 10/11 and all software packages remotely by using Microsoft deployment server SCCM;
  • Coordinate with UBISOFT Global Network Services (GNS) for IT infrastructure needs & IT related issues;
  • Deploy security software on all company’s computers e.g. Bitlocker for complete computer hard drive security;
  • Manage hardware and software inventory and generated inventory reports for software licenses, hardware and network equipment;
  • Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum user support;
  • Train and provide recommendation for staff on existing technology;
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources;
  • Research and make recommendations about purchase of technology resources;
  • Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance;
  • Perform other related duties as required by the Team Lead.
QualificationsWhat it takes to make it
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in user support (computer populations of 50 – 200+ users);
  • University or college diploma in networking or related IT or technology education.
  • In-depth technical experience with PCs, Laptops and Servers;
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office365 Suite;
  • Knowledge of the TCP/IP communication protocols, Active Directory, and latest PC and GPU boards;
  • Knowledge of MAC/XBOX/PS Hardware is an asset;
  • Knowledge of scripts is an asset (batch files, VBScript);
  • Familiarity of SharePoint concepts and tools;
  • A+, MCSE, MCSA, or MCP certification are an asset;
  • Familiarity with Citrix or other remote VPN technology is a an asset, but not mandatory.
