Job Description

Kotn is looking for a Junior Copywriter to ideate and develop strong, succinct, and engaging copy for all channels of our business. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who understands Kotn’s voice, mission, and e-commerce landscape. Reporting to the Senior Editor, Copy & Content, you will be an integral part of Kotn’s Creative team, helping to grow the business and develop it’s voice.To apply, please submit your resume, a short description of why you’re a good fit for the role, and a list of your three favourite content producers and a sentence why. They can be magazines, newscasters, blogs, brands, influencers, even a TikTok account—anyone who you think is producing great content.What you’ll be working on:80% CopywritingYou will work cross-functionally with the Design, Retail, Digital and Marketing teams to develop on-brand, skillfully written copy to help tell Kotn’s brand story and promote both new and existing products across all channels. These include, but are not limited to: paid ads, email marketing, social copy, web content, window displays and sandwich boards, editorial, and campaign assets, both digital and print.Write, edit, and enhance product descriptions for all e-commerce products to compel the customer and increases conversion.20% Creative ConceptingConceptualize and pitch creative content ideas for all channels of the business.What you’ll bring:Passion for Sustainability, Arts & CultureYou’re knowledgeable of the fashion landscape and have a keen interest in how the industry affects global sustainability, and interplays with the worlds of art, culture and design. How can you make a plain T-shirt interestingExcellent Written Communication SkillsYou’re a wordsmith with an understanding of how to create impact through short-form copy. You have a keen eye for detail and experience copyediting.
