*Job Summary*The Lead, Multi-platform Content is responsible for identifying and delivering editorial content on a range of communications platforms for the 43,000 physicians who are members of the Ontario Medical Association, including but not limited to magazine articles, web stories and newsletters.*You Will Make a Difference By*
  • Identifying and developing storytelling opportunities for all member-facing channels.
  • Supporting the director in designing processes for content development and production.
*Presenting ideas and recommendations to director, senior management team (SMT) and colleagues in Member Relations, Advocacy and Communications (MRAC) department on developing integrated content strategies that include writing and developing content for website and print magazine, various digital platforms, video, podcasts, and other initiatives to engage members while highlighting their skillset as an effective and engaging storyteller and content creator.*Responding to internal request for production and topic development guidance and support, within the scope of writing, editing, video and podcasts to MRAC colleagues in support of communications priorities set out in the OMA’s internal project calendar. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with roster of vendors to ensure timely execution of creative projects.*Delivering a consistently high standard of writing and understands the importance of adapting storytelling techniques to maximize engagement on various member-facing platforms. Must be proficient in CP style, have an eye for detail, can self-edit, and edit others’ work to ensure accuracy and impact. The successful candidate will have experience with news and feature writing and interview and research skills. Experience as a journalist would be an asset.*Requirements That Are Important to Us*
  • College diploma or equivalent in journalism, communication, digital media or related field.
  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to formulate story ideas and create content that can be showcased on various platforms, including print long-form articles, web copy, podcasts and videos. Confidence in pitching sources and securing impactful interviews.
  • Must have superior skills in script writing, concept development, source outreach, interviewing, editing, research and organization skills to manage process end-to-end.
