Tens of thousands of delivery drivers around the world use the Logistics teams apps to deliver food - their positive experience is critical to a positive customer experience. Be part of a team thats solving some of the companys most critical user experience and business challenges globally.We work in cross-functional teams made up of Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, Copywriters, Analysts, and Engineers. The way we work is collaborative and fast-paced. We want to discover what our users will love as soon as we can. We like to explore problems in-depth, and we like to speak with our users on a regular basis, to explore what we are working on and help us understand their needs.As a UX research leader, youll be responsible for leading researchers (two to begin with), setting up research process, and ensuring high quality insights and knowledge sharing with other functions. You will pair with the Head of UX (Logistics) and other leaders to surface the most impactful research opportunities and ensure we have a clear user-centred vision, which aligns with our product strategy. Key responsibilitiesThe Lead UX Researcher will be accountable for:
  • In partnership with the Head of UX, creating and leading the research strategy for multiple teams, including initiatives that span multiple departments
  • Working directly with other design and product leads, as well key business stakeholders, to identify and analyse problems to solve and opportunities to improve our products in ways that will deliver significant user value
  • Ensuring a healthy pipeline of mid-longer team initiatives that will help drive future innovation, and align with research and business objectives
  • Working effectively in an agile environment to deliver timely and impactful research to ensure that user requirements are met. Measures and monitors design and product quality after releases.
  • Communication and stakeholder management - Communicates with senior stakeholders throughout the product development process and manages expectations
  • Research Leadership - participate in the design/research leadership community to help drive best practices across the broader design/research community
  • Recruitment; participates in the recruitment process within the research discipline
  • Line management, coaching and mentoring researchers
  • Efficient research process/operations in the Canadian market
Your profile & experienceThe successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum 5+ years in a senior or research/UX leadership position
  • Experience mentoring and coaching researchers in great research practices
  • Experience partnering with designers and product managers; in-house in an agile environment preferred
  • Experience with line management of 1-2 researchers is preferred
  • Experience delivering a research vision or strategy which has influenced design decisions and overall UX experience, and/or shaped the roadmap of multiple teams
  • Significant experience crafting research using mixed qualitative and quantitative to tackle complex, large scale projects and questions
  • Commercial awareness, and understands the business value of solving our users problems
  • Experience influencing decision-makers to make user-led decisions, and is comfortable communicating and presenting user insights
  • Experience setting clear goals, deadlines and key milestones for both research discovery and validation, and tracking progress against these successfully
  • Experience in managing and influencing senior stakeholders
  • You are a powerful communicator, comfortable communicating in front of large audiences
  • Experience working closely with product, engineering, business analysis and delivery teams in fast-paced product-led businesses
