Position Title: Learning and Development, Commercial CapabilitiesPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Toronto HQRequisition ID: 9131Working closely with Director, Global Learning & Technology this role will help create, shape and lead the global commercial capability strategy and execution to support effective delivery of our profitable top line growth priorities in all regions.This role is responsible for identifying and enabling the required leadership and technical competencies to support our McCain Way of Winning framework through effective deployment and sustainable supports.Your ability to develop working partnerships with our regions along with enrolling and engaging key stakeholders to facilitate and lead change at all levels of our business is critical to success.You will require a solid understanding of the CPG market landscape, our commercial channels and organisation (specifically Customer and Category Leadership) along with people capability building and development best and next practices.Key AccountabilitiesLead our commercial people capability building strategyDevelop our commercial learning and development strategy for building and sustaining our people capability across Sales, Marketing, and Innovation.Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement by ensuring that content and learning moments are easy to access, consume and apply.Develop an engaging learner experience by leveraging digital learning technologies and introducing new and innovative ways to learn.Ensure that learning materials are constructed and deployed in a blended format to ensure maximum impact and deliver strong knowledge retention.Build a brand for our learning that drives participation, gives it an identity and is a proposition that encourages personal growth and development.Evolve and future proof our commercial competency frameworks to ensure teams have a clear articulation of “what great looks like” to support and drive our future talent development.Establish a curriculum of learning subjects that supports the competency frameworks and addresses capability gaps through learning opportunities.Build a culture of coaching by demonstrating the value of effective coaching, developing content and tools to help sales leaders and managers.Ensure that sale leader / manager coaching tools are in place to support a blended approach, shift the balance away from traditional training and allow regions to become self-sufficient.Identify and select the appropriate external capability-building partner that will work with us in a balanced way supporting us to develop, build and deploy our own learning assets and support us with specialist subjects (eg. Negotiation Skills Training).Identify talent to build a sales training community of regional leads / champions that can facilitate learning in regions.Ensure the appropriate follow up, evaluation and measures of success are in place for all of our learning activity.Align our approach to our HR people practices to enhance their value and ensure we operate in a connected way to other functions.Connect our commercial teams globally for greater results.Build a culture that supports a one-team approach where sharing and reapplication of ideas is an embedded approach.Develop ways of working that facilitates improved communication and connectivity between our regions and commercial functions.Connect our commercial organisation beyond the traditional Sales / Marketing / Innovation silos to ensure an aligned way of working and understanding.Develop and implement the appropriate tools, use of technology and platforms that facilitate sharing and accessibility to information.Develop, build, and implement our go to market ways of working and toolsWork in partnership with regions and Subject Matter Experts to leverage and repurpose existing tools, practices, and expertise across our commercial organisation.Build consistency in our approach to drive common global ways of working ensuring relevance to all channels and market dynamics / evolutions.Develop an innovative approach that is efficient and engaging way to access and make our organisational capability building tools accessible and alive within our business.Lead with a project style approach to development work that ensures deliverables are met, key stakeholders are engaged, budget is effectively managed, and risks / breakdowns are mitigated.Ensure the appropriate regional support, coaching, follow up and measures of success are in place to monitor impact and course correct as required.As our Global Commercial Capability Manager, you have:Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of progressive experience in training and developmentTraining or project management certification in learning, project management, coaching or instructional design a plus.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignmentStrong project management, organizational and follow-up skills when presented with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and global environment.Experience working in a changing environment with ambiguous conditions, dealing with both internal and external customers, including cross-functional teams.Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindsetDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with senior colleagues and other COEs and HR areas to ensure the design of aligned, scalable and integrated solutions.Alignment with McCain core values: Family, Authentic, Quality and TrustedMcCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
