Further information is available at www.bgis.comWe are looking to have a full-time bilingual (French/English) Lease Analyst to join our team in Canada! This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in Canada however the work schedule will align with standard Eastern Time Zone business hours.SUMMARYReporting to the Manager, Lease Administration, the Bilingual Lease Analyst, is responsible for the preparation of monthly/quarterly and annual reports for a portfolio of retail properties across Canada. The incumbent is also responsible for bookkeeping and reconciliations as well as providing support and guidance to team members in the areas of accounting procedures and reporting.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly revenue reports
  • Ensure that all property & tenant information is up-to-date & correct through lease interpretation & cross-referencing against other property information
  • Prepare & provide reports to clients
  • Record cheques from 3rd party tenants on deposit log & deposit to bank monthly
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly & annual recoverable charges reconciliation
  • Collect monthly revenues, rental payments & outstanding payments from tenants on behalf of the client
  • Collect revenues due to Canada, maintain records of revenues for each Portfolio & for the Contract as a whole
  • Report on monthly Accounts Receivable (AR) revenues & receipts
  • Prepares year-end reconciliations, year-end CPI adjustments, ensure recoveries are accurate and complete.
  • Makes recommendations on expenditure concerns as well as on procedures and systems related to BGIS.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • University degree or professional certification (for example, P.Eng., CMA, CGA or equivalent education)
  • More than three years and up to five years of professional experience
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAPP).
  • Solid understanding of computerized accounting systems, particularly Oracle Financials and proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong customer focus.
LICENSES AND/OR PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION
  • Pursuing professional accreditation & licenses in accounting
