Job Description

In this role you will work on a dynamic team to provide operational support for our Trademark agents and lawyers.The successful candidate may be required to work a mix of at home and in the office until our offices have fully re-opened.Responsibilities.

  • Preparation and filing of trademark office prosecution, Opposition and Section 45 submissions
  • Analyze documents received from the trademark office and report to clients
  • Monitoring and responding to deadlines, extensions and other time sensitive matters
  • General administrative duties including time entry, preparation of billings and file management
  • Responding to clients, CIPO and other parties
  • Other duties may be assigned or amended as required.
Qualifications, competencies and experience.
  • Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma, or a combination of relevant work experience and education
  • 3-5 years of administrative assistant experience in a professional services environment. Previous experience in the area of trademarks or intellectual property is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal directly with clients and all levels of staff. This role is English essential, but French language skills would be an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment and proactive
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and ability to learn new software and technology quickly
