We are looking for people capable of adapting relentlessly to the rapidly evolving world around us.Position Summary: Pivotree is looking for a Linux Administrator on the Systems Operations team. The Systems Operations team supports our customers on various platforms we build and deploy. Our engineers continue to expand their technical knowledge beyond their subject matter platform. Cross training initiatives are part of continuous improvement and strategy development in areas such as Cloud, Application Support, and Window OS.As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving Linux (typically RedHat) based issues. They can be in production or non-production environments on both our hosted solutions and cloud based solutions. This role is open to anywhere remote in Canada. Roles & Responsibilities: • Assist in troubleshooting of customer issues in various environment settings • Maintain a feedback loop with our platform teams for continuous improvement • Debug, troubleshoot and fix technical issues • Design, maintain, and deliver solutions to improve service delivery to our customers • Coding/scripting services to help automate the development and deployment processes • Re-engineering processes to optimize environments and delivery • Communicating and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team • Able to occasionally work out of hours and also be part of an on-call rotation Key Skills and Competencies: • Strong Linux CLI, filesystem, and security fundamentals • Network Fundamentals and Protocol Understanding • Experience with Public Clouds and VMware • Configuration management knowledge (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet) • Experience with system monitoring platforms (NewRelic, Zabbix) • Experience with Public Clouds (AWS, Azure) and VMware • Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN) • Configuration management knowledge (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet) • Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, bamboo, GitHub Actions) • Experience with configuration of and tuning apache/nginx • Be skilled in protocols such as LDAP, SFTP, NFS • Creative troubleshooting skills and out-of-the-box thinking • Ability to learn various technologies and topics • Strong client facing, communication and collaboration skills Pivotree is an equal opportunity employer.We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace.Quick Apply
