This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.- Boutique litigation law firm with a wide range of expertise.- Recognized in various high profile Canadian cases.- Office space conveniently located in Toronto’s Financial District!Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain lawyer’s calendars and emails;- Arrange meetings, conference calls etc.;- Assisting in preparation for hearings/trials;- Liaising with Billing Coordinators for the monthly production of accounts;- Scheduling examinations for discover, mediations and court appointments;- Draft routine correspondence;- Serving documents on opposing counsel;- Preparing and maintaining a bring-forward system;- Prepare legal documents;- Maintain electronic filing system; and- Any other duties as may be required.Requirements: - Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma;- 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant with Litigation;- A strong understanding of the Supreme Court Civil / Small Claims Rules, at the Alberta Supreme Court and Provincial Court levels;- Experience with Employment Law will be considered an asset;- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel,- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; and- Ability to prioritize and meet urgent deadlines.How To Apply: Kindly email your MS Word resume and quote Opportunity #16225in the subject line of your email.
