Job Description

While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world’s best-known companies.Dont miss out on an opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of the GTA’s best employers!Reporting to the Mix Plant Supervisor, this role is responsible for effective and efficient daily operation of a Bagging line in service of Supply Chain’s overall goals of delivering customer orders on time and in full safely, in compliance with Quality standards and efficiently.Responsibilities:

  • Follow schedule and ensure orders are shipped ON TIME IN FULL
  • Weigh and measure ingredients into pouches / bags. Check weights according to standard procedures
  • Set up equipment as per set up sheet and operate PLC controls
  • Troubleshoot equipment and resolve set up issues to reduce downtime
  • Track all downtime and collaborates with maintenance crew to reduce downtime
  • Load pallets with finished product and move skid to staging area
  • Identify problems and correct if possible or escalates to the Coordinator
  • Enter production information into Baan in a timely manner
  • Communicate with previous and next shift to ensure a smooth handoff for continuous production
  • Ensure safety procedures are fulfilled throughout the day and at the end of each shift
  • Look for ways to improve the process and work environment and help implement the improvements through the Supply Chain One Kaizen A Month program
  • Understand and follow all security, HACCP, GMP, and BRC policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the health and safety is the first concern of daily operations
  • Follow company Food Safety Policy and ensures compliance to all Food Safety requirements
  • Perform and assists in other functions relating to department needs when necessary
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Works cooperatively with others on the team and other departments
  • Acts with a clear sense of ownership, that is, takes personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures
  • Shows personal commitment and acts to continuously improve
