Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of Fortune 100/500/1000 and other companies in Canada/US.We are currently hiring for a Mainframe Security Architect for our global IT infratructure consulting client.Location: Canada , EST - remoteRate: $110-130/hr CAD C2CStart Date: ASAPDuration: 6 months initially, then multiple 6 - 12 month extensionsJob Roleamp; Responsibility: Mainframe Security ArchitectCandidate Requirements:· Primary role: Mainframe Security System ACF2amp; RACF SME/Architect· Will have a strong understanding of Mainframe software and hardware specifically a minimum 8 years experience as a z/OS System Programmer· Will possess strong people management and interpersonal communications· Will be able to act as a bridge between client and Kyndryl Sales, Proposal Managers, Project Managers, System Programmers and Infrastructure Specialists· Will be able to act as technical lead in resolving difficult problems· Will be able to work with little or no supervision· Will be able to handle multiple tasks, across potentially multiple projects· Will be able to work off hours when required· Will be able to accurately document technical artifacts· Has a proven track record of achieving win/win scenarios In addition, ideal (preferred)SMP/E and system utilities, ACF2, RACF, IO Gen (HCD), Assembler Language knowledge and ability to develop, maintain and deploy Assembler code, BMCamp; IBM Scheduler software, TSO, ISPF, understanding of problemamp; change, management (eESM experience is an asset), Install and support program products, installing simple to complex (tape management, job scheduling) products, JES2 and JES3 advance skillsDiagnostic skills: PD (problem determination), IPCS, LOGRECUnderstand of SYSPLEX concepts, familiarity with CPU keys (ordering, applying), experience working with vendors (IBM and others)Candidate will: · Ideally be bilingual (English, French)· Be a creative thinker, able to think outside of the box· Be an engaging and influential personality that can win the trust of clientsamp; fellow colleagues· Have experience with the following major z/OS subsystems: CICS, IMS, MQ and DB2· Have a passion for identifying and growing business opportunitiesOther Skills:
