What is the opportunityActing as a Maintenance and Support Analyst within the Swift and High Value payment services team you will be working on small to medium size enhancement and development projects impacting the portfolio of 4 systems used to process wire payments for RBC. Additionally there is a focus to become proficient in all products as the incumbent will also be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and production support of these mission critical applications.What will you doDesign, code, unit & assembly test for functions of low to medium complexityWrite unit test plans and provide coordination and support of testingComplete technical documentation and training materialSupport Development, Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing activitiesBuild and maintain a repository of reusable system documentationIdentifying risks, dependencies, assumptions and constraintsEffectively communicate and build rapport with team members, various IT partners and 3rd party vendorsProvide estimates on activities/tasks required to perform design, coding and unit testing, improving accuracy over timeProvide 7/24 production support on a rotating basisWhat do you need to succeedMust-have1-3 years of on the job technical experience in an application development roleWorking knowledge of UNIX Script, UNIX, Oracle, SQLThe desire to learn the wire payments business and the functionality of the applications you would be supportingFamiliarity with IT Standards, Methodologies & Audit RequirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsNice-to-haveFamiliarity with WAS, Middleware Technologies, VB6, Object Oriented Languages (I.e.: Java/C+), Dynatrace, JCLExperience with SWIFT wire payments processing and/or sanctions scanningWhat’s in it for youWe thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
