Job Description

Mammogram TechnologistLocation: Scarborough CanadaJob Type: Permanent and Part-timeWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammogram Technologist to join our healthcare team. As a Mammogram Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. You will work closely with radiologists, healthcare providers, and patients to ensure accurate and timely imaging results while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mammography examinations following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate mammography equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal images.
  • Review and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification and documentation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to provide accurate and timely imaging results.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients on the mammography process and address any questions or concerns.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on mammography equipment.
  • Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and techniques through continuing education and training
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
  • Maintained competence in position by attending staff meetings.
  • Motivation and openness for continuous improvement by establishing personal objectives and participating in annual employee performance reviews.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
