Job Description

Role.Manager, Business Strategy.Strategy at Jackman.Jackman’s strategy team specializes in defining breakthrough business and brand strategies to drive outsized consumer relevance and value creation. Working directly and collaboratively with the most senior leadership teams at our Engagement Partners, the strategy team plays a critical role in defining the future of businesses and the best path to get there, fast. The team is expert at generating actionable human insights, analyzing industry and company performance and dynamics, designing and conducting in-depth customer research, facilitating challenging and transformational conversations with business leaders, shaping compelling and relevant strategies and business models, having a lot of fun along the way.What you’ll do.Reporting to the SVP, Engagements and Strategy Practice Lead, the Manager is responsible for leading the delivery and development of one or more Engagement Partner accounts, partnering with different disciplines e.g., research, brand, creative and activation to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of services to our Engagement Partners. Accountabilities are as follows:*Reinvention and project delivery*

  • Deliver strategic recommendations based on sound analytics, logic and business acumen
  • Scope, frame and structure analysis to tackle complex business challenges with a data-driven approach
  • Work closely with the Creative and Activation functions to jointly execute effective and transformational business Reinventions and other projects
  • Effectively execute the Jackman Reinvention process with specific emphasis on partnering to build foundational target customer, competitive positioning and brand strategies, along with detailed plans for go-to-market execution
  • Ensure all reinvention project deliverables are of high quality and serve the Engagement Partner’s financial and strategic interests
Analysis and problem-solving
  • Collaborate with the Research function to inform customer research design and analysis
  • Leadership of the development of actionable human insights to drive strategic decision-making
  • Guide and oversee quantitative analysis to deliver meaningful insights
Facilitation, communication, and relationship-building
  • Own and manage relationships with mid- and senior-level clients and support Engagement Leader relationships with C-suite clients and Board
  • Build compelling storylines that effectively communicate insights to Engagement Partners and Jackman team
  • Present analytic insights effectively in formal and informal settings
  • Facilitate key workshop sessions to drive strategy development and engagement partner management alignment
  • Be a trusted advisor to senior Jackman leadership and Engagement Partners
Intellectual capital and team development
  • Develop and codify intellectual capital through the capture of case studies, analytic approaches and frameworks
  • Coach and manage consulting team on analytics, presentation, facilitation and client management skills
Business development
  • Contribute to business development activities including prospecting, proposal development and pitches
  • Identification and pursuit of organic growth opportunities within managed accounts to deepen our relationships with Engagement Partners
  • Support the Senior Management on strategic projects to support the Jackman business
What we are looking for.
  • 5+ years of Management Consulting from a top-tier firm
  • Experience managing teams of 3+ consultants on multiple projects
  • Experience in Grocery, CPG, restaurants and/or B2B2C
  • An MBA, or other relevant graduate-level education
  • Experience developing and managing senior client relationships
