Job Description

To ensure the health and safety of our team members, including those in the recruitment process, our team members are working from home, and are equipped to do so safely and efficiently.The Manager, Corporate Development serves a critical role in envisioning, creating and realizing on Corporate Development and M&A initiatives undertaken by RCI. This role is reporting to the VP, Corporate Development and will be based out of our Toronto location.What youll be doing:

  • Triage mid to large sized deals quickly through initial financial and strategic analysis
  • Preparing final due diligence and deal risk reports
  • Participate in negotiations for definitive agreements, preparing detailed reports on all aspects of the deal including initial scoping, potential revenue and profit, synergy opportunities and integration challenges (financial, technical and cultural)
  • Assess operational impacts and developing solutions for integration challenges
  • Participate in post deal analysis to continuously improve results
What you have:
  • 5+ years business experience (financial or management)
  • An accounting designation is preferred
  • Direct experience in the telecommunications / media industry either at a major telecom / media company or in an advisory role considered an asset
  • Wide base of knowledge including marketing, financial analysis and technology
  • Understanding of capital markets
  • Strong business and financial acumen, self-driven and proactive
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical background with solid financial and valuation understanding
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
