Manager, Financial Reporting and ComplianceLi-Cycle is solving the global end-of-life lithium battery problem to help power our electric future. If you are looking for a purpose-driven company where curiosity and innovation are valued, Li-Cycle is the place for you!Location: Toronto, ON HYBRIDJob Summary:Reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting and Compliance, the Manager, Financial Reporting and Compliance will be responsible for leading and directing the success of the overall financial reporting and compliance for the company.Our ideal candidate will be a driven individual with high attention to detail and organization, and a positive “can-do” attitude.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and co-ordination of the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements, and related notes to the financial statements and MDA.
  • Strengthen accounting guidelines and policies, improve financial reporting processes and timelines and fortify the control environment.
  • Assist with reporting for investor relations, equity research/analyst quarterly calls, financial reporting for press releases, earnings calls, and corporate fact sheets
  • Be responsible for final upload & reporting of all SEC Public filing requirements.
  • Maintain relationships and liaise with auditors and consultants, including co-ordination of workload to be carried out by external auditors, finance, SOX and tax consultants.
  • Stay abreast of IFRS & US GAAP developments and determine impact to the organization, for example IFRS 15.
  • Maintaining and updating accounting guidelines and policies and streamlining the internal control environment.
  • Advise on complex accounting issues as they arise.
Job Qualifications:
  • Accounting Designation: CPA, CA in good standing
  • 5+ years’ experience, both in a public company financial reporting environment and audit of public companies.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and the 2013 COSO Framework.
  • Strong hands-on working knowledge of Excel models, including pivot tables, Microsoft Office and NetSuite and Oracle ERPs would be an asset.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • The ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative culture.
  • Experience in mining, manufacturing, engineering, or technology sectors an asset.
