Job Description

Brookfield Management is listed on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges under the symbols BAM and BAM.A, respectively.Role OverviewUnder the direction of the Director, Technology Services, the Financial Application Support Manager will be responsible for managing critical incidents relating to all enterprise Financial applications, with a large focus on supporting MS Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.Key Responsibilities

  • Gather key information from business and effectively determine the appropriate course of action or engage and escalate involvement of required resources to efficiently restore service
  • Perform regular problem management and control activities
  • Communicate critical production problem status, resolution strategies, and rationale of the resolution strategies to senior management and executives to keep them informed of critical production problems and to gain approval on operational activities
  • Provide managerial leadership to employees and vendors, which includes assigning tasks or work, holding regular two-way meetings, setting context, conducting performance evaluations, mentoring, and coaching, to create and maintain a high-performing team
  • Provide guidance to the offshore team (vendors) ensuring services are being delivered according to the contract
  • Provide service feedback and developing action plans to remediate issues, identifying processes and skills required for continuous improvements in knowledge base
  • Management of ongoing application releases
  • Ensure that the root causes of incidents are being determined and reporting the statuses to management and business stakeholders
  • Support various internal compliance and or Audit requests
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives
  • This role may require 24/7 on-call support
Requirements
  • Solid knowledge MS Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations
  • Previous experience in an ITIL/ITSM role for a financial institution (FI).
  • Understanding of Financial processes (i.e., GL, Revenue Recognition, Cash Management, Accounting month-end close)
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver against timelines
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with confidence, clarity, and focus. Able to convey concepts and considerations to non-experts and specialists alike
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills in order to direct, develop, motivate, and support employees.
  • Proven track-record in incident management and ability to investigate complex problems.
