As part of this transformation, we are making significant investments into our data structures and policies to increase the quality of our data, the confidence of our business teams to use this data to make decisions and drive value through the use of data.We have a new and ambitious Global Data & Analytics group, which serves as a resource to the business teams in our regions and global functions. We are currently recruiting an experienced data governance professional to join our world-class data governance team.JOB PURPOSEThe Global Data Governance Manager will support the development and roll out of global processes and leverage global tools to govern data in a way that is consistent and standardized across all regions. As a member of the Global Data Governance team, the individual will support development of data governance strategies, including enforcement of policies, guidelines, standard procedures, and ensuring proper communications. The position will assist in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements for various functions to ensure master data integrity across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving data quality; creating reports/metrics to ascertain data quality and integrity; research, analysis and root cause identification of data errors and providing key design input for application functionality. This role will report into the Director Global Data Governance.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESData Governance PracticeThe successful candidate’s responsibilities will span the people, process, and technology pillars of Data Governance:

  • Assist the Director Global Data Governance in the build of global data governance strategy, policy, standards and adoption of processes to drive enterprise value
  • Lead the implementation of data management, data governance, and data quality tools/platforms
  • Lead the build of enterprise data catalog, data lineage and metadata management tools within the organization’s big data environment
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and create standard definitions for key metrics used throughout the organization
  • Ensure compliance with records retention, data classification, and security policies
  • Work with other governing bodies to ensure content is current, accessible with appropriate sanctioning framework and processes
  • Create documentation pertaining to business processes and data
  • Develop processes aligned with the Critical Data Register, Highly Critical Data mapping and yearly attestation of roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Data Platforms team, Data Architecture to ensure consistency in engineering practices, and enterprise data model
  • Lead data governance projects as assigned
  • Lead enterprise efforts in mapping highly critical data through tool sets and processes
  • Build Data Literacy Program across the organization
Data Quality & Analytics
  • Support the build of the global data quality program
  • Work with the Business to build data quality rules and metrics for specific data attributes and monitor on a monthly basis
  • Assist with regular compliance reviews against policies and standards
  • Build the Issue Tracking and Resolution Management process
  • Work with business to mitigate downstream impacts of change to multiple systems.
  • Receive and analyze requests for new standards and values.
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
  • Education and Experience
o Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. o Minimum of 8+years’ experience with data management/governance, including but not limited to data governance, master data management, data protection, and/or data quality o Preferred: experience working in SAP for master data management o Preferred: experience working with PIM, Salesforce, and Data Catalog / Data Governance / MDM technologies and systems o Preferred: experience in CPG or food and beverage
  • Global data transformation and data-focused change management
o Led initiatives harmonizing systems, processes, and/or data across business areas and functions o Experience developing and implementing data governance policies and standards o Experience building data catalogs and business glossaries o Experience documenting solutions in support of standards and best practices o Demonstrated track record of producing work that is highly accurate, demonstrate attention to detail, and reflect well on the organization o Experience participating in or leading organizational change management initiatives
  • Communication and influencing skills
o Strong facilitation and project leadership skills with the ability to drive issues to closure o Demonstrated ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships with ability to engage resources outside of direct-control to gain consensus, meet deadlines and achieve goals and objectives. o Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written o Positive attitude and a team player
  • Experience and flexible self-started
