Come be a part of the team.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Manager, Membership Engagement & Development to join an exciting group that has a focus on developing untapped value potential within MLSE’s season seat Membership base. You should have a high acuity for the rhythm of the sports business calendar, an understanding of MLSE’s diverse Membership groups and a dynamic approach to industry trends and customer needs. This Manager has the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, both as a leader and a listener, with a team-first mentality. You will be building a variety of platforms and campaigns that help drive two-way communication with our Members that support the overall retention strategy and evolve into developing the most valuable Membership packages in professional sports. This position will be managing at least one direct report, and indirectly mentoring a group of Membership representatives assigned to help support with various initiatives.Responsibilities include:

  • Work in tandem with the Senior Manager to develop detailed Engagement strategies that help drive Membership retention and affinity towards multiple verticals including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, Toronto Argonauts, Toronto Marlies and Raptors 905.
  • Lead multiple campaign-based projects that promote two-way conversations with Members, while help support overall retention efforts, assigning roles, responsibilities, monitoring progress and tracking final results.
  • Lead all aspects of the day-to-day operation of four Membership Central platforms on the team apps, with an emphasis content management and securing Member exclusive opportunities.
  • Represent the Membership team in Digital Labs projects that help advance service and experience for Members, including the next phase of Membership Central.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Commercial Initiatives to capitalize on experience opportunities for the Membership base.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholder groups to develop a centralized profile of the various Membership segmentation groups, through the annual survey and throughout the business-cycle through quick-pulse checks. This will help advise business decisions and retention strategy efforts across many parts of the business (i.e. Ticketing, Partnerships, Marketing, etc.)
  • Develop strategy to drive Member participation in EDI and Community initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of proven experience working in the Sports & Entertainment industry, ideally in a customer service, account management or operational role.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft 360 - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of various social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) is an asset.
  • An eye for detail who always pays attention to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong presentation, storyboarding and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • A problem solver who knows how to find answers to provide the best solution.
  • Excellent judgment and self-directed work style

  • Strong work ethic with a drive for self-development, collaboration, and take-action mentality
