Job Description

Location: Toronto, ONJob Summary:The Manager Master Data Management will oversee the establishment and ongoing maintenance of Li-Cycles Master Data Management (MD) policies, processes, and governance framework, including managing the design and creation, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s Master Data policies and processes to ensure accuracy, integrity, security, confidentiality, and availability of data. The incumbent will be the lead for all master data management efforts across the organization, engaging with and coordinating execution with key stakeholders across the organization. This role will work with user groups across Li-Cycle to ensure that processes and controls are in place to maintain a robust and effective control framework.Our ideal candidates will be a driven individual with high attention to detail and organization, and a positive “can-do” attitude.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and build a best-in-class master data strategy and structure to support the Li-Cycle organization and ERP infrastructure including the development of Enterprise ERP Master Data quality and management measures and practices, and to direct the implementation of these.
  • In collaboration with subject matter experts and data stewards within the business functions, define and implement master data strategy and roadmap, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, consistent, secure, and reliable. Coordinate and direct work done by other business experts/ stakeholders to execute data management activities.
  • Develop and maintain a platform to manage and process master data requests. Ensure master data quality in key systems as well as the development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support the setup, ongoing maintenance, and integrity of Master Data.
  • Create and maintain material and business partner master data including material masters for all material types and operational data objects (bills of materials, recipes, production versions, resources, quality data, customer, plant, intercompany business partners etc.) in the Oracle Fusion Cloud system in compliance with Master Data Governance processes & standards.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate (as required) in testing cycles to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain proficiency in Data Management systems and processes through consistent training.
  • Establish and communicate clear ownership and responsibility for the accuracy of specific data inputs for the Master Data set.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 7+ years experience in Master Data Management in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Implementation and support experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, SCM, EPM, OTM, WMS, and HCM) is an asset.
  • Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Experience with cleansing large datasets in a professional environment.
  • Experience with BI and Dashboard tools, OTBI and Power BI, preferred.
  • Organized, self-motivated, customer-oriented and be able to work well independently as well as within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with both technical and non-technical parts of the organization.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask, working in an environment with minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks.
  • Flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • Accounting knowledge and work experience is an asset.
