Job Description

Position Title: Manager Progress and PlanningPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Toronto HQRequisition ID: 7912If you’ve been described as disciplined, curious and consistent – let’s talk about an incredible opportunity on the North American Insights and Innovation team.JOB PURPOSE:The Innovation & Insights Progress & Planning Manager will coordinate, enforce & improve the North American innovation process through an efficient PMO like structure. This will enable the teams around you to translate the company strategy into detailed action plans via a disciplined approach to innovation planning, development & measurement of our activities.This manager will play an important role as a process guide and enforcer in supporting the organization’s aspiration to achieve a greater innovation focus, supported by business building strategic insight.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring adherence with our Stage Gate framework to truly enable the North American organization to deliver bigger, better, bolder innovation that’s ground in the long-term business plan
  • Connecting with regional counterparts to identify opportunities to accelerate progress, remove roadblocks, and continuously improve
  • Ensuring framework compliance, providing coaching and feedback to the cross functional team
  • Monitoring the innovation pipeline relative to our long term commitments, guiding the management team in their interpretation and corrective actions
  • Establishing and tracking both leading + lagging performance indicators and identifying appropriate actions to drive progress
  • Produce consistent updates to senior stakeholders via KPI reporting systems
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
  • A project management certification, Bachelors degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of project management experience, ideally focused in food and beverage
  • Strong leadership skills; able to influence, inspire results, build and maintain relationships across the business in all functions to effectively communicate progress
  • Proven ability to hold others accountable & teach project management fundamentals
  • Excellent understanding of consumer packaged goods industry, consumer insights, and analysis to proactively drive focus
  • Solid communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management systems
