Send us your resume and join a people-centric company with a reputation of excellence.Job DescriptionThe Customs & Logistics, Team Lead plays an important role in the import and receiving of AAG products.The AAG Customs and Logistics Team processes import shipments while coordinating paperwork with the staff at our Distribution center. The main goal is to achieve high accuracy through our forwarding systems to ensure high productivity and operational excellence while providing some office administration support.Main responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Customs and Logistics Team for the paperwork and data processing of inbound goods including:
  • Communicate with Broker to share appropriate documents; transmit inbound goods details
    • Communicate and work with vendors and/or carriers to arrange goods pick-up, collecting documents and details for inbound shipment including additional documents requested by the Broker; track shipments
    • Work with Logistics Clerk to setup inbound shipments from vendors in ERP
    • Forward warranty and return credits to Logistics Clerk for claim processing
    • Communicate with DC/Branches to provide documents including shipment manifests for inbound shipments from vendors; updating shipments status in ERP as appropriate
    • Receive, validate received manifests, post to inventory and file vendor’s shipments after completion by DC/Branches
    • Vendor receipt discrepancies; work with vendors on any discrepancies and compile log
    • Submit voluntary entries for imported goods
    • Schedule appointment with warehouse/trucking company for deliveries/pick up and update delivery schedule/log
    • Work with Finance Department: update the exchange rate on ERP; updated monthly log report
    • Approve/forward to Finance: invoices for shipments after posted to inventory; credits/debit memos (shortage/overage related etc.)
    • Monthly review and approval of K84 invoice from broker for AP to pay
    • Track and report various department information including but not limited to vendor discrepancies
    • Daily vendor receipt report of shipments completed
    • Answering queries from AAG departments regarding shipments
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Manager

  • Experience in the import customs and logistics preferably in the automotive aftermarket parts industry.
  • A minimum of 1 year of supervising experience.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient on computer programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Works well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
  • Highly organized, with good time management skills
  • Exceptional accuracy with a keen eye for detail
  • Data-entry skills: high accuracy and efficiency
  • Possess the ability to work proactively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated success in documentation and follow through
  • Demonstrated excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong Excel skills, basic math and strong problem solving
  • Excellent work ethic combined with a positive attitude
  • Experience in training and motivating staff.
