As a key member of our team focused on the administration of student services, the main priority of this role is the well-being and successful graduation of all students in an inclusive, diverse, hybrid (remote/online and in-person) learning and working environment. Working closely with faculty and staff, the successful candidate will ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of the college. If you want to work alongside a wonderful team in a great work environment, send us your resume!Key responsibilities Reporting to the President of CMU College, the Manager of Student Services & Administration acts as a key point person and advisor for OSAP and other provincial loan programs, associated administration, and compliance, and advises students as required.

  • Process student financial aid applications including OSAP.
  • Oversee and manage student and faculty communications.
  • Responsible for all international, national, and local student files, record-keeping, payment processing and associated communications.
  • Oversee the Student Information System, ensure that all student files and supporting documents are complete and fully compliant with Ministry requirements.
  • File reports and data with Ministry and various organizations as required, including but not limited to KPIs, DLI, OSAP, Talaria, PARIS, etc.
  • Oversee and manage all student services related duties including invoices, marks, diplomas, attendance, system troubleshooting, etc.
  • Prepare and submit new program applications to Ministry and follow-up.
  • Manage CMU’s Learning Management System.
  • Provide confidential academic counselling, planning, and advising to students including arranging and participating in attendance meetings.
  • Dealing with student disciplinary issues, and issuing warnings as required.
  • Counsel students on consequences of early withdrawals/program changes and impacts to their student loans/grants.
  • Conferencing with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
  • Manage and train administrative staff.
  • Provide basic tech support to students and instructors as required.
Requirements
  • OSAP certified with a minimum 2 years’ experience as Financial Aid Officer
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in student services
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 suite
  • Experience in Private Career College preferred, familiar with PCC Act, 2005
  • Familiar with KPI submissions
  • Experience with Learning Management System administration
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Proactive & enthusiastic team player
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Results-oriented, problem solver
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to achieve goals
  • Experience working with a diverse student community
