Job Description

Job DescriptionAssurance and Advisory (A amp;A) provides independent and objective assurance over the design and operating effectiveness of CPP Investments’ governance processes and internal controls. Reporting directly to the Head of A amp;A (Chief Audit Executive), the A amp;A Managing Director - Technologyamp; Data will be focused on maximizing the value delivered on Technologyamp; Data audits and advisory engagements, and strategic and transformational projects. You will be a key partner to the business, leveraging your expertise in Technologyamp; Data governance, risk management and internal controls, as well as strong business acumen and advanced problem-solving.Role-Specific AccountabilitiesExecution Leadership

  • Oversee the effective planning and execution of Technologyamp; Data audits including:
    • setting the objectives and scope of audits in accordance with the Annual Plan;
    • developing work programs which focus on the key risks to the organization;
    • ensuring adherence to our Audit Manual and the Institute Standards in all the work we do;
    • identifying insightful findings and proactively discussing these with management;
    • producing informative and concise reports for management; and
    • monitoring and following up on corrective actions.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on technologyamp; data risks and oversee the evaluation of IT controls.
  • Support the development of and oversee continuous monitoring activities, identify emerging technologyamp; data risks, and propose changes to the Audit Plan where required.
  • In addition to delivery of the Audit Plan, provide advisory services, while maintaining objectivity and independence.
  • Demonstrate agility to anticipate, adapt and pilot approaches that create value.
