Reporting to the Senior Market Analysts and the principals of Zonda Urban, the Market Research Analyst is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks related to the collection and maintenance of new multi-family home project data in Zonda Urbans proprietary NHSLive data product, and to provide support for our advisory servicesWhat You’ll DoIn this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Collect data on new condominium and townhome projects and newer rental apartment developments throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area using primary and secondary research methods;
  • Assist with inputting data and relevant information collected from all monitored multi-family projects into Zonda Urban’s NHSLive data platform;
  • Identify and monitor the pre-launch marketing of all new multi-family projects;
  • Monitor new rental/multi-family development applications submitted to municipal planning departments throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, and input/update data on NHSLive;
  • Monitor economic indicators relevant to the new multi-family development industry as required; and,
  • Provide general support for data products and advisory
Who You Are
  • Working knowledge of Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area
  • Background in real estate, geography, housing, economics, urban studies are preferred
  • Strong interest in and desire to learn about the residential real estate market and development industry
  • Organized and resourceful with strong research skills/abilities and work ethic
  • Ease of use of spreadsheet and primary data analysis software
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Have received or are working towards Post-Secondary degree or diploma in related fields of business
  • Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and be willing to travel. (Driving expenses incurred will be reimbursed)
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills
  • At ease communicating with the public in person, phone, email, etc.
