  • Assist MoCap shoot team on capture projects (calibration, marker set, props, props rigging, etc);
  • Suit and marker up motion capture talent;
  • Maintain and use complex computer systems and camera hardware to capture human/animal performances;
  • Assist actors when filming;
  • Process data in Vicon Shogun when filming;
  • Validate the data quality in Shogun and MotionBuilder;
  • Assist the data team with post processing when required;
  • Prepare, maintain and repair studio equipment on a daily basis;
  • Fit and assist performers with head-mounted cameras;
  • Assist Capture Technicians with several ongoing R&D projects;
  • Setup, maintain and capture using our scanning systems when required;
  • Assisting Propmaster with props and sets;
  • Carry out all other related tasks surrounding day to day maintenance
QualificationsWhat it takes to make it:
  • Knowledge of mocap software (Vicon Shogun/MotionBuilder)
  • Knowledge and understanding of mocap features and constraints
  • Client focus (interact etc.)
  • Ability to continuously enhance work methods
  • Ability to quickly adapt to situations
  • Organization skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Some knowledge of the following programming languages: Python, C#;
  • Working knowledge of game engines, specifically Virtual Cinematography and/or willingness to learn.
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of 3D animation
  • Data management knowledge
  • Production environment or on-set experience (Film, Television, Performance Capture)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of the following software: Maya, Unreal, Unity, zBrush, Reality Capture, Wrap3, Photoscan, Office 360 suite;
  • Motion Capture experience – specifically Vicon Motion Capture Systems (Shogun, Blade or iQ);
  • Video System experience including timecode and live sync of multiple sources;
  • Electronics- design, soldering, raspberry Pi, Arduino;
  • Autonomous and resourceful;
  • Ability to take initiative;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Flexibility in work organization;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
