Job Description

Commitment: 40 hrs/week, 16 monthsStart Date: May 20231VALET is looking for an Networking Intern to join our team for a 16 month internship starting in May 2023. In this role, you will be a valued member of the 1VALET Operations team and will communicate directly with clients and key stakeholders in the company. You’ll be joining an amazing hard-working group that’s changing the future of apartment and condo living!Responsibilities:As the Networking Intern, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Setup LAN/WAN networks with the assistance from Network Specialist, work closely with 1VALET’s network of Security Integrators
  • Download/Install Software on PCs, Tablets, Workstation and Servers
  • Work closely with 1VALET Technical Team in commissioning the servers and ship to sites
  • Commission Tablets and Servers onsite
  • Provide one-on-one end-user support and resolve problems via telephone, email, remote sessions, and other means of communication
  • Respond to Help Desk support tickets and emails promptly to meet the SLAs
  • Logs queries in the ticketing system, refer issues to the appropriate person in the company and follow up to ensure resolution
  • Assist the Technical Project Managers with projects
  • Carry out in general other duties and responsibilities that are consistent with the qualification of the position
  • Report to 1VALET Office Located in Markham
  • Will be required to travel to different sites in GTA to provide on-site support for building staff and security integrators (Travel mileage will be reimbursed)
Job Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas
  • You’re a self-starter and have the ability to work independently
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and you are tech savvy
  • Possession of strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Creativity and willingness to bring in new perspectives and ideas to the business
  • Must be located in the Greater Toronto Area and have the ability to travel (valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle)
