Overview: OverviewMyo-Health Rehab and Wellness Centre has exciting opportunities for a Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team of healthcare providers! We are a private clinic that specializes in the treatment of clients injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents. Joining this multi-disciplinary rehabilitation clinic with two locations in the GTA (Scarborough and Etobicoke) offers the right individuals the opportunity to collaborate with a team in providing exceptional care to our clients in a culture that is client-focused, diverse, inclusive and encourages personal growth.We are seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team!This position is for Full-Time hours, M-F 8am-5pm. Interventions include: assistive equipment education and training, ADL training and cognitive rehabilitationAssist with assessments and intervention planningEstablish positive working relationships with clientsObserve and monitor client’s performance and progressManage equipment, supplies, and inventoryProvide education and training to clients, family members, and caregiversMaintain detailed and accurate client recordsWork collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team (OT, OT, SW)Create and maintain client schedulesWhat you need to be successful:Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.Strong time-management skills required.Excellent communication skills required with an ability to collaborate with other team members and a strong understanding of when and how to make interdisciplinary referrals.New graduates accepted. - MVA experience preferred but not mandatory.Access to reliable transportation required.
