The Covid Assessment Centre and Vaccination Clinic are a 7 day per week operations that serves to test and vaccinate as part of the Covid-19 response. The Covid Assessment Centre and Vaccination Clinic also serve to conduct outreach testing and vaccination to high risk congregate living settings and long term care as directed. Come on board to help protect and educate the team and health system partners of Unity Health Toronto.Working in close partnership with the Patient Care Manager, the Operations Leader is a self-directed individual, able to multi-task and shift direction quickly and utilize their skills to ensure safe, efficient and responsive vaccination. The Operations Leader is able to provide direction to the team, answer and advise on ministry guidelines, and determine when escalation is required.Duties and Responsibilities:Develops a plan for outreach activities, coordinate outbreak numbers, pack up supplies, prepare packages.Communicates plan to all stakeholders. Coordinates and chair meetings for outreach testing as required.Responsible for the tracking and ordering of general office supplies, education materials and PPE as well as clinical equipment (thermometers, portable BP monitors, pulse oximeters). Provides teaching, troubleshooting assistance as required.Responsible for the communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders for patients in congregate living settings.Collaboratively works with the team to develop new roles, revise role duties and responsibilities in order to manage changing needs and requirements in the clinic.Ensures that training and coaching is provided for new staff. Provide coverage in the non-clinical roles as required. Assists the manager with the development of policies and procedures as required.Provides expertise of the ministry guidelines.Provides expertise of the protocols and practices of the Covid Assessment Center and Vaccination Clinic.Works closely with the manager to recommend and implement innovative solutions.Assigns and delegates work to the team and monitors completion.Reviews performance metrics with the manager to provide suggestions on patient flow and efficiency.Advises manager of any issues and works towards proactive resolution.Reviews, monitors and implements all data quality reports and identifies issues.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in health related fieldMust have 3-5 years of clinical or coordinator experience in a healthcare environmentStrong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and balance multiple tasksDemonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer serviceExcellent leadership skillsWell developed conflict management skills and problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience with project coordination an assetAbility to facilitate team development and cohesion requiredProficiency with MS office software: word, excelExcellent initiative and decision making skillsAbility to prioritize and identify relevant support for the resolution issues in the day to day operationsDemonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environmentStrong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detailPresents a calm and pleasant demeanor at all times and works well under pressureHighly-organized and efficient time management skills
