Job Description

Join our team in our mission to continue to put patients and families at the centre of everything we do, in the role of Operations Leader - Medical Imaging Administration.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the daily operations of the Medical Imaging clerical staff
  • Participate in management and development of daily metric dashboards
  • Reviews performance dashboards to aid in coordinating daily work flow activities, including re-assignment of staff based on departmental needs
  • Reviews and monitors data quality reports to help identify issues and develop solutions to improve service
  • Review operations on a regular basis and develop process improvements that will facilitate better service to patients and stakeholders
  • Implement process improvement initiatives
  • Provide ongoing support to the team through daily huddles
  • Lead monthly departmental staff meetings
  • Develop stakeholder feedback tools and monitor results
  • Provides a leadership role in the development and maintenance of data entry standards in Syngo, ADT, WAITSYNC, PACS and scheduling systems
  • Works closely with the Manager and collaborate with other leaders in Medical Imaging to recommend and implement innovative solutions
  • Daily supervision of clerical staff
  • Assist manager to tract operational spending, and budget variances
  • Creates and approves staff schedules, including vacation requests
  • Address concerns and assist staff in resolving issues
  • Collaborates with the Manager on conflict resolution, performance and training needs
  • Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree or diploma in Healthcare Management or equivalent experience required
  • Project management experience required
  • Knowledge of Hospital Information System such as SYNGO, PACS, ADT and WAITSYNC an asset
  • Demonstrated ability in facilitating team building and customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and work in a stressful environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with staff at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and conflict management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively set work priorities and work without supervision
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong IT background
  • Knowledge of registration/scheduling and WTIS processes
  • Knowledge of Pertinent legislation (PHIPA, Public Hospital’s Act)
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement process improvement
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance record
