Job Description

Summary:Reporting to the Mix Plant Supervisor, this role is responsible for effective and efficient daily operation of Take Off Floor in service of Supply Chain’s overall goals of delivering customer orders on time and in full safely, in compliance with Quality standards and efficiently.Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with previous and next shift to ensure a smooth handoff for continuous production
  • Inspect and monitor equipment including air inflators and aspiration systems to meet our quality requirements and production demands
  • Conduct physical checks and get verification if necessary of all material required for production including silo, oils, fats and Take-Off floor process before starting an order
  • Report all shortages, no stock materials or damages to the Supervisor and make the required entry or written logs
  • Perform Daily Safety Circle Checks on all Power Trucks being used and report all defects or take out of use if necessary
  • Perform daily scale checks as outlined by the required frequency
  • Perform all Screen and Metal Detectors checks as outlined by the required frequency
  • Restock and reorder all bulk oils, fats, skids, packaging and cleaning supplies to meet production requirements
  • Ensure that all manufacturing instructions and product process is followed correctly as per Project Green
  • Ensures that all completed orders are entered correctly in Baan and all samples are scanned in and delivered to Q.A. at regular intervals.
  • Look for ways to improve the process and work environment and help implement the improvements through the Supply Chain One Kaizen A Month program
  • Understand and follow all security, HACCP, GMP, and BRC policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the health and safety is the first concern of daily operations
  • Follow company Food Safety Policy and ensures compliance to all Food Safety requirements
  • Perform and assists in other functions relating to department needs when necessary
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Works cooperatively with others on the team and other departments
  • Acts with a clear sense of ownership, that is, takes personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures
  • Shows personal commitment and takes action to continuously improve
