Job Description

You must thrive in a customer service-oriented environment and work efficiently amongst a diverse, friendly, and professional team. Our hope is that you have a passion for and interest in all things coffee, and are willing to grow and learn amongst other enthusiasts!Primary Duties + Responsibilities

  • Promote the values, culture and mission of Pilot Coffee Roasters
  • Greet and interact with all customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Able to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanour at all times
  • Maintain the functionality and cleanliness of the cafe and continuously anticipate the customers needs
  • Complete daily and weekly checklist tasks that are assigned to you
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the cafes - this includes maintaining the point of sale, ensuring checklist completion, setting the alarm and locking up at the end of the day
  • Prepare beverages while following the steps and quality standards outlined in Pilot’s Barista Certification
  • Sell coffee and retail merchandise by utilizing your knowledge of current coffee offerings and confidently and accurately communicate this to the customer
  • Respond to all questions, orders and concerns in a professional and friendly manner
  • Have an understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Pilot Coffee Roasters;
  • Carry out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company
Skills + Experience
  • Previous work experience in a customer service environment is required
  • Previous work experience as a Barista is preferred
  • Previous work experience in a Cafe is preferred
