Job PostingAcero Property Service Inc. is looking to hire an Experience Maintenance Worker/Handyman to work 3 days per week, 8-hour shifts for a townhouse complex in Scarborough.Maintenance Skills & Experiences: · Experienced in repairs and general maintenance including mechanical, electrical and plumbing troubleshooting· Removal and installation of kitchen and bathroom hardware (countertops, sinks, toilets, cabinets)· Carpentry and painting· Maintenance of common areas· Respond to all emergencies· Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code and Building Codes required· Knowledge or experience of using work orders· Tools and equipment maintenance· Replace all burnt-out light bulbs· Assist and accompany all service personnel to maintenance areas (door to be opened and locked)· Coordinate disposal of hazardous material with the Property Manager· Respond to all emergencies such as fire, flood, lack of heat, power failure and other such problems that could be deemed as an emergencyCleaning Skills & ExperiencesJob responsibilities/functions to include, but are not limited to:· Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs· Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary· Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals· Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment· General maintenance of grounds· Clean vacant units upon direction from the Site Manager· To maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies· Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery· Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours· Deal with all residents, visitors, and other staff and tradespeople in a professional manner· Other related duties as assigned.Qualifications: · Must have prior maintenance experience within a residential property· Able to work with and relate to a diverse client base including people of various cultures, abilities, and social and economic backgrounds and must maintain confidentiality· Able to work independently with minimal supervision. This position will also require the applicant to demonstrate a high degree of self-initiation· Able to prioritize and organize workload and inventory· Strong interpersonal and team-building skills· Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills· Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required upon hireJob Types: Full-time, PermanentCOVID-19 considerations: Must be double vaccinatedSchedule:
