Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required in this position. The Demi Chef De Partie is responsible for the product creation and production of the baking operation of Café Boulud, Room Service and Banquets in the Hotel. Providing the guests with a selection of fresh bakery products on a daily basis are all part of this exciting position. Working in a creative manner to consistently introduce innovative recipes and to develop your teams’ ability to produce a premium quality product is essential.Job RequirementsWe are looking for individuals who have a passion for baking and a keen sense for flavors, color and texture in what they produce. Creativity and flair, the ability to work together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors is required. Candidates will need to feel comfortable working alone. Excellent communication skills are essential in addition to being trained and certified in safe food handling. The Baker position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean all baking equipment and tools. Position also requires continuous standing for the majority of the shift and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Applicants are required to have minimum 2 years of baking kitchen experience. The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach to any task.Additional Skills & Abilities preferred
