To make our network of over 1400 travel entities more profitable, efficient and help them create truly unique travel for their clients.Job DescriptionAs a Payroll & Benefits Administrator you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, performing various administrative and accounting tasks such as data management and keeping employee information that is relevant to payroll purposes up to date.Integrity, strong organization skills and superior attention to detail are crucial for this role as well as solid customer service and interpersonal skills given communication and client inquiry assistance is a key component within this position.Your Impact:Create payroll profiles for all new employees as advised by HR in payroll systemManage payroll preparation/processing for Canadian entities as well as commission and bonus paymentsAdminister Canadian Benefit programs (Health / RRSP) and ensure complianceRegularly assist with US payroll (multi-state) and IC payments and provide back-up for all US payroll functions when requiredAssist in the administration of US benefits (multi-state) and the employee 401k program and provide back-up coverage when requiredMaintain payroll-related accounts and reconciliation i.e. tax liabilities, vacation accrual, group benefits, Group RRSPEnsure the creation and timely distribution of T4sAssist in the maintenance of the payroll systemMaintain familiarity with Canadian and US payroll procedures to ensure efficient processing and complianceAssist in Audits, Accounting and Special Projects when requiredAssist in the management of the payroll budget as directedResolve payroll discrepancies by analyzing information and provide payroll information by answering questions and requestsAdhoc Reporting as requiredProtect employee confidence and payroll operations by keeping information confidentialCollaborate with the HR department and other departments to ensure pay and personnel records are accurate and up to dateRespond to employee and government agency inquiries in regards to payroll and ROE’sAdhere to all policies and follow established procedures to ensure complianceParticipate in required meetings providing input and recommendationsPerform other accounting duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum three years payroll experience in a similar roleWorking experience with ADP Work Force Now preferredProficiency with Windows and Microsoft OfficeExperience with data entry, confidential information and accuracyDemonstrated experience with payroll audits and payroll analysisExperience working with an HRISExperience with US payroll an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSuperb attention to detailExcellent organizational and multi-tasking abilityAbility to work with confidential information in a professional mannerAbility to interact with all levels of staff utilizing excellent interpersonal skillsProblem solver, creative, and innovative thinkerSelf-motivated, pro-active and flexibleA positive and engaged team playerAdditional InformationCultural FitThrives working in a technology and KPI driven organization.Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.Highly functional in a fast paced, constantly changing workplace - building plans through iterations from learning on what’s working and not working.Ability to build trust and work through conflict both upwards and downward.We know that our success is dependent on the people who join our team, which is why we recruit the best.
