Included in its portfolio are critically acclaimed restaurants like Canoe, Jump and Auberge du Pommier. Event spaces include unique and upscale venues such as Malaparte at TIFF Bell Lightbox, the Arcadian Court and Windermere House on Lake Rosseau.We are currently hiring a Payroll Coordinator to assist the Accounting department with weekly payroll functions for our various restaurants and event spaces. This position is ideal for a payroll professional with a solid foundation in payroll processes, looking to take the next step in his/her career.

Job DescriptionThe Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related services, including recordkeeping and reporting for multiple restaurant locations. This position provides accounting and project management support to the Finance Department. This position is ideal for a payroll professional with a solid foundation in payroll processes, looking to take the next step in his/her career.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Weekly processing of payroll for assigned restaurants
  • Assist with the remittances for WSIB, and other payroll stakeholders
  • Prepare/issue ROEs as maybe required
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliation and archiving of data
  • Communicate with restaurant management team to address payroll related issues in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with multi-unit payroll processing
  • PCP certification an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Proficiency in using out-source payroll systems, Ceridian Dayforce in particular
  • Exceptional time-management, organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as a team and individually
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm and diplomatic when working under tight deadlines
  • Strong business acumen
