Job Description

Looking to provide a great opportunity to an experienced or novice PA who is interested working in a fastt paced, outpatient neurology / epilepsy clinic. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a lively team but also autonomously with great supports.Qualifications1) Must have PA qualifications2) Good standing with college3) BLS Certification4) Experience working in outpatient clinic; specifically experience working with neurology / epilepsy are an asset5) ability to work collaboratively and strong communication / empathic skills are necessary especially in dealing with different patient population6) Excellent time management, coordination and organizational skills are necessary7) Interest in research is an assetJob Description1) Seeing patients independently with doctor on (clinic days) in person and/or virtually; document findings in the EMR. Review with doctor after interaction and dictate your findings based on discussion in clinic2) Help institute plan by coordinating tests, reviewing medication changes and provide prescription / titration schedule etc;3) Provide clinical teaching on medication side effects, screen for comorbidities4) provide education on psycho-social issues / community resources5) Collaborate with community epilepsy agencies6) Call back patient with results of investigations / blood work to communicate next steps within scope of practice7) provide empathic listening and supportive care to patients via phone call or during patient visits8) May need to attend teaching / seminars to update / upgrade skills and knowledgeJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentSalary: From $40.00 per hourAdditional pay:
