Job Description

Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.Reporting to the Pilot Crew Resources Regulatory Compliance and Operation Manager, the incumbent will be the primary point of contact for all pilot resource planning related responsibilities to Crew Scheduling. The role includes but is not limited to providing operational support and statistical analysis for resource planning purposes. This position will play a key role in the success and the administration of pilot coverage requirements while adhering to contractual and regulatory obligations. This position may be located in Toronto or Montreal.

  • Develop and analyze CG2 (CARs) and FRMS (Fatigue Risk Management System) to determine key information required for the planning of crew resources.
  • Manage and optimize the monthly and weekly productivity for the reserve pilot group.
  • Develop and maintain 12 months forecast for all fleets and bases as it relates to RAPs and operational reserve coverage.
  • Plan reserve move-ups accordingly to balance manpower requirements as it relates to the operation.
  • Collaborate with various departments in order to maintain an accurate assessment of pilot resources and the requirement for aircraft changes from the original monthly plan (Training, Network planning, Rouge etc.).
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with Crew Planning for reserve forecasts and statistical purposes.
  • Analyze irregular operations and make effective scheduling decision as it relates to resource planning.
  • Provide effective and timely communication with all Schedulers/Trackers/CNMs as it relates to scheduling or rescheduling of RAP activities.
  • Enforcing reserve utilization within the Crew Scheduling group.
  • Provide Crew Resources Management with risk assessment analysis for pilot reserve coverage.
  • Lead monthly meetings with Crew planning and Crew Scheduling in reviewing key performance indicators.
Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual (level 3)
  • Experience dealing with a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Ability to produce detailed statistical reports.
  • Understanding of crew scheduling practices within a global airline
  • Promotes active listening with operational team members
  • Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent and effective
  • Basic knowledge of Pairing Creation Software, Preferential Bidding Software, Netline Crew, ReportLink, and globe information system.
  • CARs and AC Pilots collective agreement knowledge an asset
  • Proficient with NetLine Crew
  • Follows through with commitments and fosters mutual trust with fellow employees
  • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours as require
