We also have a lot of fun!About The RoleAs the Privacy Manager, you will be strongly aligned with our Legal, Product and customer facing functions. In this position, you will be play a critical role in leading our privacy program to ensure that it exceeds legal requirements and customer expectations.About YouAs a privacy leader, you are a communicative self-starter who has developed strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills and has proven to influence business partners and decisions to drive compliance initiatives. You don’t believe security or privacy needs to be velocity killing and painful; but instead supports the objectives of the business and its customers. You live and breathe data protection and you’re committed to your professional community.Your responsibilities will include:Maintaining our privacy framework and related policiesServing as the subject matter expert on global privacy regulations and best practicesCreating and maintaining data maps, records of processing activities and data transfer solutionsCreating and updating data protection agreements for internal and external stakeholdersCollaborating with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure privacy requirements are embedded in productConducting privacy impact assessmentsAssisting with auditsManaging data subject requests in a respectful and efficient mannerEngaging with clients and prospects to answer their privacy questionsDeveloping and maintaining material that addresses common privacy questionsEducating staff on privacy practicesAssisting our Legal team with contract negotiationsLiaising with regulators as requiredMonitoring changes in global privacy requirements and leading the implementation of appropriate compliance effortsThe ideal candidate will have experience in at least these areas:A minimum five (5) years of experience in a privacy compliance or privacy legal related roleMust possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independentlyAbility to manage complex business situations and develop solutions to ensure complianceIn-depth knowledge of various privacy laws and standards including GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, CASL, PDPA and HIPAAA J.D. or LL.B. degree is preferredStrong technical knowledgeCertifications such as CIPP/US or CIPP/EUWe Can’t Wait to Meet You!We couldn't do what we do without our awesome Lider's and look forward to welcoming you to our Alida family.
