Address: 100 King Street WestJob Family Group:Customer SolutionsThe main function of the role is to help drive digital transformation across BMO Capital Markets, executing on our global client-centric product design experience strategy. Providing thought leadership: influence executives across different lines of businesses; identify business opportunities for internal and external product solutions. A passionate and entrepreneurial leader in a fast-paced environment, taking on responsibilities of every aspect of the experience design output: engage, identify, discover, innovate, realize, analyze.• Lead, execute common product design experiences, with the passion to solve complex business problems through design thinking, and who consistently strives for continuous betterment of their work, as a designer, visionary and systems-level design thinker, you will provide leadership and direction for a portfolio of internal and external product solutions.• Design best-in class Financial User Interfaces for both internal and external users.• Build empathy for the day-to-day experiences of our user base, pain points and opportunities to improve these experiences, being part of the team that helps defines the product solutions.• Partner, develop strategies and work effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure that the experiences meet the needs of the audience as well as meeting the business objectives.• Leverage your knowledge and experience in design thinking to plan and facilitate ideation and alignment workshops, identifying what success looks like, with a varied audience of stakeholders, technical architects and developers• Produce appropriate deliverables to bring ideas to life and define the experiences for our clients and internal teams in a simple, easy to understand way. This could include user journeys, site maps, user-flows, wireframes and prototypes.• Educate non-specialist stakeholders through the design process, keeping them up to date and on board with what we want to achieve. This will involve great story telling through presentations and demos.• Act as the#39;experience guardian #39; and go-to for all delivery teams, making sure every customer interaction is useful, usable, desirable.• Keeping up to date with competitors and industry best practice.• Lead and support more junior team members, ensuring all deliverables are up to our high standards.Qualifications:• Product Design Expertise - at least 5-10 years of direct experience in digital interface design, within the Financial Industry.• Financial expertise - not necessary, but preferred. Candidate must have an aptitude and interest in quickly developing understanding of the financial industry and complex systems and processes, from a work-flow and human point-of-view.• A passion for creating change and desire to create transformative solutions.• Excellent communicator and storyteller - able to present work verbally and in written presentation to senior stakeholders or lead conversations with stakeholders to extract insights and requirements, influence decisions.• In depth knowledge of user interface design processes and methodologies - able to define an end-to-end product design process and working within product delivery teams.• Be solution focused, getting to answers quickly and collaboratively and managing your time effectively.• In depth knowledge and experience in defining and/or working with design systems.• Mastery of tools (Adobe CC, Sketch, Invision, Figma, etc...) to generate compelling interaction designs and visually appealing interfaces.• Ability to work in matrixed environment with many partners and stakeholders with different thinking styles.• A portfolio with samples of work must be reviewed before an interview will be scheduled.• Be able to travel to other BMO offices globally.We #39;re here to helpAt BMO we are driven by a shared Purpose: Boldly Grow the Good in business and life.
