Job summaryOver the last 20 years, the share of physical gross merchandise sales sold on Amazon by third-party Sellers has grown from 3% to 58% in 2018. With over 2 million global Sellers listing their products for sale on Amazon’s Marketplace in 15+ countries, third-party Sellers are increasingly critical to delivering on Amazon’s vision of offering the Earth’s largest selection and lowest prices. In our vision to build a global marketplace, we will provide easy-to-use tools enabling Sellers to make intuitive choices about how they send their inventory into Amazon’s Fulfillment Network in order to make their selection available to customers globally.FBA is looking for a Product Manager to join a dynamic team at the forefront of this vision, to shape the next generation of inbound solutions to create a richer end-to-end Seller experience while improving FBA profitability. You will be responsible for bringing a strong Customer focus to innovation and influencing a product roadmap and vision that dramatically transforms how Sellers can grow their business while reducing total supply chain costs and complexity. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience balancing data analysis, customer research, project and stakeholder management, and internal/external communication. You must have sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically with a long-term vision about this fast growing business, while being able to execute on tactical details. Experience working in a cross-functional capacity on software products with a proven track record of delivering business value are important qualifications. Supply chain industry experience and/or software is a plus.Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and communicate a strong three year and long-term vision for your space, influenced by customer research and data analysis
  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the product initiatives that you own.
  • Manage development teams and global stakeholders to meet defined milestones and delivery dates. Influence external teams’ roadmaps to execute on your vision.
  • Own reporting on the state of your initiatives, measuring improvements and impact of changes. Utilize metrics to deep-dive into issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns.
  • Drive adoption of your rolled out solutions, develop mechanisms to identify and iterate on the Seller experience.
  • Set-up mechanisms to audit and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet business objectives
  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, Masters in Supply Chain) from a reputable school
  • Prior experience managing technical products or online services
  • Advanced Knowledge of SQL and Excel or willingness to learn
  • Ability to provide architectural guidance and direction, strong judgment especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders, including remote teams in multiple time zones
  • High degree of product ownership
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments
  • History of developing business strategy in conjunction with senior leadership
  • Team orientation and willingness to roll up sleeves to solve complex, dynamic challenges
  • Strong relationships building skills; experience managing stakeholders and partners to drive cross functional programs
