The timeline to reopen is still under consideration, as are our future remote working policies.Job DescriptionReporting to the Manager, Product Compliance & Design (PCD), this role is responsible for driving the ongoing strategy, development and innovation of the Operations Manual program and related product lines. In collaboration with the Manager, PCD, this individual supports the establishment and execution of the product roadmap, development, and roll-out of regulatory, legal and usability updates to assist credit unions in meeting regulatory requirements and mitigating risk.This role will work closely with PCD team members and liaise with internal departments to ensure that the program continues to drive operational efficiency and value for our members, while identifying areas for innovation and continuous improvement.What you'll be doing:Act as the product advocate to both internal and external stakeholders.Support the PCD team’s project management processes, multi-tasking and setting priorities within tight timelines and high expectations as per identified needs and collaborative project plans.In close partnership with the Manager, support the rollout for product line updates, changes, and new product deployments.In collaboration with the Manager, work with internal and external legal resources to ensure that the Operations Manual Program achieves a balance of risk management against usability and brevity.Serve as subject matter expert in understanding and identifying the impacts of content changes within documents/forms related to the product line, maintaining awareness of changing regulatory and compliance requirements.Strong ability to analyze, research, design, write and edit a wide range of typical workplace documents of considerable complexity to support Credit Union operating and legislative requirements.Working closely with PCD staff, act as lead in writing and reviewing policies and related material for publication, ensuring that records, files, and procedure/form revisions are maintained.Based on member feedback and/or regulatory changes, prepare clear project plans related to changes/impacts to the product lines, impacts on our members and delivery timeframes, as defined by the regulatory changes, member feedback and/or usability challenges.Serving as an escalation point for the Junior Regulatory & Compliance Analyst, work with subscribers to resolve or provide options for inquiries regarding program content and operational processes.Identify opportunities for product innovation/features that will result in enhancing the member experience and driving additional member benefits.Accountable for ensuring that the product line delivers the necessary agreed upon changes/updates according to identified scope, time and cost based on the agreed upon product roadmap.Working with internal stakeholders, execute a wide range of client-focused product communications that support the sales, knowledge and training, and publicity of our products.Participate on internal committees and working groups (i.e. Central 1 Compliance Committee) to mitigate credit union system risk and Central 1 risk.Accountable for completion of all assigned tasks and updating necessary tracking related to time spent, budget and deliverables for content projects.QualificationsWhat you'll have:Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Communications or related field5-7 years’ experience in a financial services/branch operations role, with lending exposure considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Relevant professional certifications/certificates (Personal Financial Services Advice, IFIC, PFP, CFP, PMP, CIPP/C) are considered an asset.Experience in developing and presenting project plans, including the use of project management principles and software.Demonstrated experience working with deadlines for a variety of concurrent projects, user experience best practices, and communication with internal teams. Reviewing, editing and writing content, including assistance with planning the projects upfront and copy-editing.Adaptable technical writing skills pertaining to the broader financial services sector and credit unions, with the ability to communicate across multiple audience types.Experience in working with end users to understand, gather and communicate product issues, usability challenges, changes and requirements.Ability to work independently and make sound judgmentsExperience dealing with ambiguity while working through obstacles in constantly changing regulatory and corporate environments.Commitment to customer service excellence, solid communication, and building strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Able to distill complex thoughts and ideas into simple, clear and compelling language, without losing sight of the big picture.Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to balance risk management against member needs and requirements.
