  • provide program support with administering FIPPA and ensuring compliance with the Act;
  • assist in the development of policy and procedure proposals related to FIPPA and proper record information management;
  • assist in the developing and delivering of staff training and awareness programs on access, privacy and information management
  • review, recommend and implement new/revised administrative procedures to improve office operations and update/maintain office procedures and manuals
  • provide analytical support and recommendations in reviewing access to information requests and in the development of office file planning for ministry clients
  • assist in the compilation and analysis of statistics and information (i.e. IPCs Annual Report)
How do I qualifyDemonstrated Abilities with Legislation:
  • You have knowledge of and the ability to apply the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA)
  • You have knowledge of the process and procedures related to the coordination of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests
  • You have knowledge of government and ministry record-keeping process and policies to promote effective management and integrity of records
Proven Analytical and Organizational Skills:
  • You have research, analytical and problem-solving skills to review and evaluate complex information and detect important issues.
  • You have organizational and coordinating skills to deal with a high volume of information and requests.
Solid Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • You have communication and presentation skills to prepare letters, provide advice and conduct training
  • You have interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
Knowledge of Financial and Administrative Processes:
  • You have good knowledge of financial and administrative processes to manage/track collection of fees and coordinate office administrative requirements.
