The world of Operations is fast-paced and ever-changing, and we offer two streams to choose from: Global Operations and Global Wholesale Operations. You can apply to whichever stream best aligns with your career interests. In Global Operations, we provide the mission-critical support for all of our business-units, customers, and various banking operations in Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. We are experts in all things Ops, including International Operations, Governance, Enterprise Digitization, Retail and Business Service Centre, Corporate Services, Contact Centres, Fraud Management and Collections (to name a few!).In Global Wholesale Operations, we support a number of business lines’ Capital Markets activities throughout the lifecycle of a trade, providing a critical service to our clients and business partners. From Middle Office to Confirmations, Lending Services, Settlements & Clearing, Operations Control and Operations Change, Global Wholesale Ops provides cross-functional exposure to front-office, middle-office, and back-office all in the same place.Tough decision, right! We can’t wait to see which one you choose!Your Career as a Catalyst Program Associate:As a Catalyst, you will be exposed to as much of Operations within your selected stream as possible to develop you into a future leader in our organization. This program is about embarking on a two-year journey of investing in yourself, in building community, in striving for excellence, in pushing your limits and in showing up everyday with the type of winning attitude, sense of ownership and eagerness for opportunity (AOO, as we like to call it!) that will shape you into a future leader of the Bank. And that journey begins on day one, as you join the Catalyst program as a full-time permanent employee who is guaranteed a job upon successful completion of the 24 month program. As a Catalyst, you will complete three rotations within different areas of your selected Operations stream (Global Ops or Global Wholesale Ops) to provide you with a breadth of experience in a short period of time, allowing you to discover your passion and see where you’ll thrive! You’ll hone a wide-array of business skills while supporting Operations and learning about different processes, products and client-offerings. You’ll strengthen your customer service skillset, expand your product and operational knowledge, gain a well-rounded view of the entire organization and get practical experience working on high-impact projects.Perhaps the best part is that you will be part of a cohort of Catalysts joining as associates at the same time both in Canada and internationally, and you’ll be welcomed into a community of current and alumni Catalysts who have been in your shoes! You will learn alongside your peers, partake in cohort socials, speaker series and workshops, and have a Program Management team dedicated to you and your cohort’s success and development. You will also have the chance to further your growth through executive mentorship, a buddy program, and opportunities for upskilling, learning technical skills or maybe even taking Spanish classes. Plus, as a Catalyst you become a member of Talent Incubators for Leaders of Tomorrow (TILT), which is the best network made up of hundreds of rockstars in Scotiabank’s campus programs, just like you! At Scotiabank, we are passionate about our people and we can’t wait to see you grow and thrive.Qualifications/ Requirements:This program is for students who are graduating between April 2022 and May 2023 with an Undergrad or Masters degree. You are also required to be fully mobile across the GTA for the duration of the program, as rotations can be in Toronto, North York, Scarborough or Mississauga. We are looking for future leaders who foresee problems before they arise, recognize efficiencies and love a challenge. They have a keen, critical eye and get things done. They manage internal and external relationships really well, and are driven by excellence. They challenge themselves and the team members around them to be better. We truly value relationships so we want Catalysts who love people and who are competitive, driven and innovative. This program is a once-in-a-career opportunity for those who aim for the stars and who can’t wait to dive into a journey of learning and development! How do I Apply for CatalystFor students applying to one of our TILT New Grad programs we do not require resumes!
