Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Health & Wellness, the Friendly Call Program Coordinator is overall responsible for expanding existing services through program promotion, establishing community partnerships, and strengthening the volunteer workforce.As a Friendly Calls Program Coordinator, you will:

  • Promote program initiatives and development of the client base within Community Care sector.
  • Engaging with community partners to enhance program planning and implementation.
  • Gather data to prepare reports for the purpose of evaluating program and referral process success.
  • Supporting the volunteer workforce and roster through the onboarding and training process.
  • Integrate volunteer resources within the scope of responsibilities, as required.
  • Participate in internal and external program stakeholder meetings and communicate regularly with various stakeholders.
  • Represent and promote the Friendly Call Program in a variety of contexts with a diverse range of audiences.
  • Participate and promote completion of mandatory health and safety education/orientation, and respectful communication between all personnel and clients.
We’re looking for:
  • One to three years’ experience in community program development or a relevant sector
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Excellent collaborator and skilled in partnership development, excellent collaborator with colleagues in an environment with ambiguity.
  • Volunteer management and training experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and empathy skills, supportive, and productive team member, and preferably can demonstrate a high level of awesomeness
  • Commitment and clear understanding of privacy and confidentiality
  • Punctual and organized, pay attention to detail, have a positive professional attitude, and the ability to work interdependently with colleagues from various programs.
Working conditions:
  • The work will mostly be performed remotely but may have occasion to attend a Red Cross office.
  • This position requires a satisfactory Canadian criminal record check.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for this position and operation (the CRC will however adhere to its duty to accommodate those who are unable to be fully vaccinated for a reason related to a human right protected ground).
