Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.The Program Manager, Pharma Strategic Initiatives is a key enabling and leading role, within the Pharma team, and requires passion, energy and ability to solve multiple complex problems.This individual will support work on strategic initiatives for the Pharmaceutical Benefits & Innovation team to elevate the Sun Life Drug Benefits space in the market and assist the Pharma Leadership team as a program manager.Please note this is a 12 month contract opportunity.What will you doStrategy Planning and Development

• Support the strategy of the department (with annual reviews) with the Director, Pharmaceutical Benefits
• Support work within the department, across Market Development, across Group Benefits to ensure alignment in respect to understanding / coordinating the strategy, key messages and its consistent application

Problem Solving and Analytics

• Conduct strategic analyses, leverage strategic frameworks, work with data, interpret analytical results, generate insights and write decks / reports to convey findings and recommendations

Pharmaceutical Research and Insights

• Conduct research including competitive landscape, market trends related to pharma but also those that pharma could adapt
• Present opportunities to the Director, Pharmaceutical Benefits and AVP, Pharmaceutical Benefits & Innovation

Communication

• Prepare and present both formal presentations and informal updates on analysis / recommendations

What do you need to succeed

• Management consulting or corporate strategy experience is an asset
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills (ability to structure problems and hypotheses)
• Results-oriented business management and planning skills
• Able to think and communicate conceptually, strategically and tactically using a variety of mediums
• Comfortable working with data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Market / industry research skills
• Strong and effective relationship builder with the ability to influence
• An effective and confident listener and communicator, comfortable in a variety of situations
• A creative communicator able to package the strategy in a compelling easy to understand story that is visually appealing and content rich
• Self-motivated, self-starter, outcomes focused
• Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives and deadlines
• Health background considered an asset
• University degree or post-secondary education in Business, Economics – MBA an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
